BOWLING GREEN, KY– HOTEL INC was selected as the Women’s Fund of South Central Kentucky’s 2026 Impact Grant awardee at their Annual Dinner held last night, October 27 at 331 Event venue on Kentucky Street. One of four finalists chosen to make presentations to the full membership prior to a vote, HOTEL INC will receive $100,000 for a new Housing Stability and Family Wellness Initiative.
In total, the Women’s Fund awarded $190,000 to the four finalists, with Habitat for Humanity being chosen to receive $70,000 and New Beginnings Therapeutic Riding and Kentucky Kids on the Block receiving $10,000 each.
The focus of HOTEL INC’s Housing Stability and Family Wellness Initiative will be single parent households with children and women aged 55 and older who are at risk of losing their housing. HOTEL INC’s own case data from the last three consecutive years shows that rent burden is the leading cause of homelessness among those we have served, with many households paying 50-70% of their income just for housing. A medical bill or car repair can easily push a rent-burdened household over the edge.
HOTEL INC welcomes collaboration with community partners and businesses who would like to join in this effort to prevent homelessness and, more importantly, to preserve health, dignity, opportunity and home for the people we will reach through this initiative.
